Agri-Food & Climate Circle 2023
Scientists, experts, and companies are endeavouring to identify ways to combine new knowledge, technologies, and strategies to reduce the climate footprint.
The climate is high on the global agenda. Across the agri-food industry, scientists, experts, and companies are endeavouring to identify ways to combine new knowledge, technologies, and strategies across the production chain to reduce the climate footprint while meeting market demands.
In Denmark, we are committed to driving this development forward by taking the lead in sharing and implementing the findings from science and research. To this end, we aim to facilitate collaboration across the food industry.
In partnership with leading universities and companies from the agri-food industry, the Danish agricultural innovation centre, SEGES Innovation, is inviting scientists, experts, and decision-makers to a new international climate conference: Agri-Food & Climate Circle 2023.
Please join us at the international Agri-Food & Climate Circle conference on 10-11 May 2023. The event is being arranged by SEGES Innovation, which is a private, independent non-profit research and development organisation.
The congress will create a forum for the development of ideas and knowledge-sharing among a large number of international stakeholders with the aim of reducing the climate footprint of the agri-food industry.
Agri-Food & Climate Circle 2023 is intended as a centre for innovation, which will create a basis for researchers, experts, and decision-makers to combine knowledge, technologies, and strategies across the production chain. The purpose of the congress is to minimise the agri-food industry’s climate footprint and to meet market demand as regards the trend towards greater focus on the climate, sustainability, and animal welfare. Attendees will also gain a valuable insight into current trends and the challenges that the agri-food industry is currently facing.
The two-day programme will cover seven scientific, business and policy topics and will combine presentations with panel discussions and debate to generate science and business-based interaction:
- Documentation of green initiatives
- Circularity and resource utilisation
- Consumer influence in the green transition
- Sustainable farming – solutions and initiatives
- Sustainable animal-based food production
- Use of biotechnology as an alternative source of protein
- Plant-based food and protein transition
