Danish Agriculture & Food Council appoints new CEO

Merete Juhl will take up the position as the Danish Agriculture & Food Council’s new CEO with effect from 1 August 2022.

The trade organisation, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, has appointed a new CEO. Merete Juhl, who is currently Denmark’s Ambassador to Jordan and Lebanon and the Chargé d’affaires in Syria, will take up the position with effect from 1 August 2022.

The Chairman of the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, Søren Søndergaard, is delighted to welcome Merete Juhl:

"Merete Juhl has wide experience and an international perspective. This is what we need as a small country that produces food for the whole world and trades and cooperates with countries far beyond its borders. Merete Juhl has strong personal competencies and is used to navigating complex political scenarios. She is also an experienced and results-oriented leader who values teamwork and collaboration. She was brought up on a farm and understands the farm to fork mindset.".
