SIAL 2022
SIAL Paris is the largest one-stop shop in the industry, the place for tastemakers and trend seekers looking to develop their business.
For over 50 years, SIAL Paris has been welcoming large numbers of industry representatives to the French capital to share their knowhow and create recipes for the future.
The first SIAL was held during International Food Week in 1964 and attracted experts and enthusiasts from 26 countries. Today, the event brings together exhibitors and visitors from over 127 countries and is a flagship in the global food calendar.
Every other year, producers, importers, buyers and retailers, media professionals and independent associations of every shape and size, meet at the largest exhibition venue in Paris for five days of inspiration and discussion. Whether you are a budding start-up or a major company, have an exciting new product to promote or a leading brand, an established retail business or a ground-breaking retail model, Paris is your platform for sustainable success.
From 15-19 October 2022, SIAL Paris provided an international source of inspiration for the entire food industry. Innovation was the focal point of this year’s exhibition and after a four-year absence, expectations were high. The opportunity to meet or renew contacts with customers from across the world was a particular attraction.
There were some 7,000 exhibitors from no fewer than 127 countries, of which 90 per cent were exhibitors from outside France. More than 400,000 products were showcased to the 265,000 attendees.
As the many participating professionals provide a unique opportunity to network and exchange views on industry best practice with other influential players in the food sector, SIAL helps to generate new and innovative partnerships that generate growth throughout the food industry.
Danish companies were widely represented this year (66 exhibitors in all), including pig producers. The Danish food cluster’s distinct focus on the climate and production sustainability was clearly apparent.
