The database ensures that the trackability for pigs is maintained when they are moved from one population to another. At the same time, the database helps ensure a transparent pig production since the database is publicly accessible.
When pigs are moved between populations, the move must always be registered in the database. The database is a part of the CHR (Central Livestock Register) owned by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
In the database, you can search for information above a move, register a move and prepare reports of moving of CHR numbers.
Everybody has access to the database and can enter a CHR number and you can then see which pigs have been moved to and from the population in a specific period.
