The international conference, Zero Zinc Summit, returns
From June 26, 2022, EU pig producers can't use medicinal zinc for piglet diarrhea, posing challenges. The Zero Zinc Summit in Copenhagen addresses this.
The deadline for all EU producers to stop using medicinal zinc in pig production is approaching. This is why SEGES Innovation, and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council are once again organising the international conference, Zero Zinc Summit, on 22 and 23 June.
Zero Zinc Summit’s main topic will address how pig producers can ensure healthy weaning in piglets without using medicinal zinc or antibiotics as a substitute. Weaning has to take place without compromising on animal welfare, carbon footprint or profitable productivity.

The list of the keynote speakers is in place and SEGES Innovation has invited leading experts from across the world to share their knowledge and well-documented research in the area. There will also be an opportunity to take part in roundtable discussions and Q&A sessions. The overall aim is to find weaning solutions for piglets by pooling knowledge and expertise.
