Happiness is ...

... is in the Danish DNA

The Danes are the happiest people in the world – according to the World World Happiness Report 2013

Various theories have been advanced as to explain this phenomenon – ranging from the high living standards in the country, the ‘safety net’ provided by the Danish welfare state or simply that Danes have lower expectations of their lives than the rest of us.

Well, they’re all wrong – it’s all comes down to the Danish DNA, according to the conclusions of a recent study entitled 'National happiness and genetic distance - a cautious explanation'.

Apparently, Danes born and raised outside Denmark showed an equally happy disposition compared those who stay at home.

So there we have it – marry a Dane.
